“I started working with Vic in 2017 because while I felt very fit thanks to a rigorous exercise regime, I recognised that I was carrying extra weight and this weight was holding me back from performing at an optimal level. Basically, I wanted to make pull ups and other body weight movements easier!
Within the first few months I gained a whole new understanding of how many calories I should be consuming, what the right balance of macros was to feel properly fuelled for my workouts and what appropriate portion sizes were. It wasn't long before I felt the positive difference not only in my workouts, but in how I felt day-to-day.
Maybe most importantly, I learned that I didn't need to deprive myself of foods I enjoy - this meant I was able to have some kind of dessert every day! And this is why 2.5 years on, I've kept off the 10kgs I lost within the first year. It's sustainable. It's not a diet; it's being armed with the knowledge to make a change to your life, permanently.
Vic not only managed my caloric and macro plan, but was there via email or phone to answer questions, calm my worries, help me reflect on what I was learning and most importantly, cheer my successes and offer encouragement for whatever the next step was. Being accountable to someone and how support was essential to my success. The journey with Vic was priceless and one of the most important things I've ever done for myself. And now I can do more pull ups!”
