…I realised I couldn't run on empty anymore. I was suffering from disordered eating and a terrible relationship with food. I didn't really consider how to fuel my body right, or what was best from a health point of view, and would swing from 'clean' eating and cheat days, from famine to feast. Any of that sound familiar?
Slowly, I started to realise my relationship with food and nutrition wasn’t as it should be, and something needed to change. I started learning about nutrition, and desperately trying to seek out ‘the truth’. I wasn’t convinced by the things (read ‘fads’) I’d picked up from magazines, news stories and influencers and spent hours and hours digging through the trenches to find out what the evidence said about intermittent fasting, rapid vs slow fat loss, optimum fuelling for various activities and sports, what micronutrients and macronutrients we needed for health etc. This led to finding the very best qualifications out there, studying hard, and in the process, helping many many men and women not only achieve their goals, but also find ‘the truth’ along the way too.
I went from running miles every single day to 'earn' everything I ate, to fuelling my body properly for strength and functional training. I've gone from living in fear of carbs, to embracing them and loving every single gram, even on a strict competition diet where I got pretty shredded as a bikini athlete.
And the reason I'm here... I'm a Certified Nutritionist, ready to help you with your body composition goals and embrace a sustainable, evidence-based approach to food & drink. I never stop learning; analysing new studies, staying critical, listening to the challenges and concerns of my clients.
I started coaching because I wanted to create an accessible offering for people looking to level up their nutrition and health, regardless of their goals. I set out to ensure people get the right level of support for them through a 1-2-1 approach that ensures there is no crippling judgement, but focuses completely on transparency and honesty - both ways.
